First Year in Sydney – 2016 recap

Posted on January 6, 2017May 17, 2019 by Mommy Jen

One of the days that most of us look forward to is New Year. There is something in this holiday season that people see with anticipation. It may be the food feast, or the amazing fireworks, or the repetitive promises, or probably just a simple new beginning for some.

Well, 2016 has been a blessed year for us. Earlier in January, we moved here to Sydney from Singapore. After a month, Rod was assigned back to Singapore for a project so we went back there as tourists. While Rod was finishing his project, Marshall and I went back to the Philippines for a week. Mid-year, we traveled as tourists in New Zealand and spent time with our good friend Rene. Before the end of last year, we went back home again to the Philippines for Kuya Mac and Ate Leah’s wedding. There we managed to squeeze in our time going to quite a number of places, Leyte, Palawan, Baler, and Batangas. Well, it’s definitely more fun in the Philippines. We definitely miss our family back home in the Phillippines and our dear friends in Singapore. Nevertheless, we are truly favored to have this opportunity to live here.

For nothing will be impossible with God. ~ Luke 1:37

Here’s our 2016 recap. Cheers to more fruitful 2017 🙂 #letsclaimthis
