Feeding a toddler is one of the dilemmas of being a mom. I’m not sure how many can relate, but my 3-year-old son is always “mapili” when it comes to fruits and vegetables. Well, honestly, I used to be one when I was his age. hehe.
But as early as possible, I would like him to have the habit of eating healthy foods.
Last week was our L week activity, and just in time, I prepared a fun yet healthy snack for him.
I used bread, cut into round shape, spread some peanut butter, and surrounded it with oranges. Topped it with some banana, raisins, and strawberry. And of course cheese. He loves cheese!
It’s easy and simple.
Here’s a short video of our L week in addition to our A-Z activities. 🙂
Wow! I love your alphabet week learning idea. And oh boy your video is amazing. Bringing in creativity on lesson time is a good way to teach kids and you certainly nailed it. I wonder if you could teach me how to do such a video. (macy santos)
Thank you so much! I’m not a pro video editor pero sure I can give you ideas! email mo lang ako mommy or pm me in FB, https://www.facebook.com/akosiwitwiw 😉
That’s not even 10 mintues well spent!
the things we do as parents just for our kids
just to show just how much we love them
hayyyyy
true, kahit gano kahirap go go go lang 😉
This is a neat trick to use to teach my own son when he’s a bit older! Been learning different techniques to see what can be done to advocate and instill more fun and educated play with my Yñigo. Thanks for this!
ang creative! Things we do for our kids!
Subscribed to your YT channel mother 🙂
Thank you Mommy Pehpot! I also subscribed to your channel 🙂
That dish looks utterly scupumtiors ! It's one of my fave dish though haven't got the nerve to make it 😛 😀 I just go to Toastbox if I got some hankering for that tasty dish 😀
How cute! Your site is so child-friendly! I love your video! Galing ng graphics!
Thank you! :))
Oh I remember that stage with my two kids. Effort talaga sa creativity! But it was less of a challenge when they started going to school since they were taught about the different food groups. That’s when they began eating most of what I serve them.
Hopefully my son will improve soon since nagstart na sya magschool last Dec. Pero parang mamimiss ko rin na kulitin syang pakainin! haha
I have one little boy who will love a food one day and hate it the next. Really really picky! I love how you presented your kidlet’s food— especially in a manner that matches your lesson for the day. It’s worth a shot!
Thank you! Medyo effort pero kaya pa naman 🙂
Oh wow! What a brilliant idea mommy! Surely its entertaining, educational and yummy…
I just want to make our learning fun para naeenjoy nya din and d boring 🙂
Love this idea! My daughter is having a hard time with alphabets. This might help!
My son used to forget the abc’s and numbers pero when we do activities related to a particular letter, mas naaalala nya. Hopefully it will help! 🙂
Weeeee, what a quick and easy sonluiot.
wow. such creativity. I wish I could be as creative as you are.
This is good will bookmark your page, so I can see it again when I have another baby again 🙂
Sometimes we really need to be creative with our kids. You have real good stuffs the site mo… galing 😀
Kids learn more when they have fun in the process. This is real cool way to teach and introduce stuffs to children. Galing 😀
You are so creative! Nakaka frustrate at nakaka inspire magbasa ng blog mo.
haha thank you! 🙂
My daughter’s 2 and she’s mapili with food rin. She doesn’t eat menudo, mechado, and any other ulam that’s color orange or maybe the sarsa, not sure, but she doesn’t. 🙁 She eats spaghetti though. Anyway, I love the way you prepared your son’s food! Ang galing! Effort! Will try it with my little girl, sana gumana hehe 🙂
Go try it! Let me know what’s the outcome :))
What a creatively prepared snack! I’m sure he enjoyed it 🙂
Yey! thankfully he did! 😉
The things we do for our children talaga. Kudos to you for preparing his creative snack. Great video too by the way!
thank you! i agree, moms can do anything for their child/ren. 😉
So creative! I remember when I had my eldest and sha pa lang ang baby ko and I was a full time SAHM, ganito rin ako hihi. I miss those days. Now, I seem to be struggling in this area. I just mostly get the job done na lang and it can get so frustrating. Good job mommy!
thank you mommy may! enjoyin ko muna tong mga days na to baka sa susunod e magstruggle na din ako 🙂
you’re so creative, mommy! This will surely encourage your kid to learn his alphabet plus eat his fruits 🙂
This is great! If foods were presented this way, I think my kids will eat. Plus, they get to learn too 🙂
Ang creative naman! Kudos to your hard work for your kid. I’m sure it’s appreciated. 🙂
I am one lucky mom kasi I never had any problem feesing my kids with veggies and fruits. I myself kasi is a vegetarian. By the way I admire your creativity
Hihihi. It is so cute. Gives my an idea how to make food a little enticing to my son. Though I doubt he will appreciate it as he is only 17months old. But it will definitively make his mama happy. So cute din the a-z activities.
What a joy to find soenmoe else who thinks this way.
I also have a very picky eater and up to now {he’s already 7} I am still having trouble feeding him. He mostly loves eating chicken and beef but I would really like for him to try more veggies, as well as fruits, too!
What you’re doing is good, sis! Introducing your little one to fruits and veggies, little by little, will help him get accustomed to the taste. And yes, it really takes a lot of creativity to make our kids do what we want them to do. Lol!
Adore your efforts! Im sure your baby will enjoy every moment!
Oh my, what a cutie! 🙂 While I don’t have a problem with letting my eldest eat fruits, I have a big problem with my youngest. Ugh! I wonder if presenting it like this will help. 🙂
So cute! I’ve never really had to make that much of an effort in preparing food for my kids coz they’re not very picky eaters. But things like this would really make eating more fun. 🙂
Hello sis, like you one of my bureden to my 2 yr old son ay ang pag papakain sa kanya, huhuhu! Every meal almost 1 hour talaga kami matatapos, lahat ng tricks and efforts ginagawa ko everyday but it’s okay. But this one is really a big help and motivate to our son to eat.
The healthy snack you prepared is so cute and inviting for kids to eat 🙂
