After more than a month, Dada and I decided for Marshall to be baptized.
Here are some of our preparations in planning for a Catholic Baptism.
Sending e-invites. We did not print the invitations. Paper invites will just be thrown after so instead, we sent invites through email and facebook.
Choosing the church and booking a date for the baptismal rite. We booked ours at San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, Cavite which was held after Christmas.
Picking godfathers and godmothers. We decided to invite these people as Marshall’s godfathers and godmothers as they are like family to us and we know that they will eventually impart good things to Marshall when he grows old.
Choosing a reception.
After the solemn baptismal, we went straight to the reception. Guess where?
A basketball court! hehe! Cause why not? We’re frugal! 😉
We actually planned to have the reception at Max’s restaurant. But the time is limited only for 2-3 hours so we’re thinking might as well rent a basketball court near our place. At least we have all the time to eat and spend unlimited hours of catching up with our friends.
We arranged a catering service from La Ysla caterings. The whole package was awesome and the food tasted great! You may check them out on Facebook: La Ysla Caterings
Cake and cupcakes were ordered from Goldilocks.
DIY souvenirs made by Tita Leah.
Enjoy! We enjoyed this special celebration welcoming Marshall in the Christian world.
